Following Pizza Please on Social Media for some time now, I was excited to visit and taste the pizzas behind this active account. Located on Jal el Dib’s internal road, the red sign cannot be missed: come to meet Carlo, a smile on his face, he makes sure to pamper his guests. Six months in the making, “Pizza Please” has much more than pizza on the menu, appetizers, fries, and salads... let’s have lunch!

Let’s eat:

  • Before having a pizza, nibble on some appetizers. Three mini burgers served on a rectangular plate. Tender and warm, the bun is covered with sesame, stuffed with a tender beef patty. The burger feels homemade.
  • The salad is very fresh! Fresh lettuce, lightly grilled not-salty halloumi, cherry tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, and a strongly acidic balsamic sauce. That’s the taste of simplicity discovered at a casual place down in Jal el Dib. I was excited to taste the pizzas.

The pizzas: a thin dough, spongy on the inside and crunchy on the outside, the crust is thick enough not to get soaked. Salmon with cheese and pieces of lemon for the first, truffle oil olives and goat cheese for the second on a bed of tomato sauce. I enjoyed the aromas, the mix of different ingredients and texture of this delicious pizza. Slices of smoked salmon, capers, shredded cheese, bits of lemon and a decoration of green arugula.

“Pizza Please” delivers, but it’s much better to experience it in-store and meet Carlo. A good value for money, the pizza is a great lunch idea.
