It’s romantic atmosphere that is made even better by the delicious food and the wonderful view of the fishermen.
Located a few hundred stairs down the mountain in the city of Fira or by vehicle down the narrow road to reach the port, but Selene is really worth it. The food is very nice and special and the ambiance is very romantic. You eat next to the water in one of the oldest ports in Santorini, where fishermen display their daily catch on the rocky shores. Tourists from all over the globe meet there and share their culinary experiences. Since 2010 'Selene' restaurant has moved location from Fira to Pyrgos. Pyrgos is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved villages of Santorini built around a medieval castle located in one of the highest points of the island offering magnificent views. What is mostly important for us however is that Pyrgos village, and the restaurant's location especially, lies next to the famous vineyards and the valuable farmland of Santorini.
