Oscar Nominated Movies In a Whole New Light, Or Should We Say Foam

Even if you've seen all the Oscar-nominated films, you haven't seen them like this. Mike Breach, 28, a New York barista, specializes in "baristart," a self-coined term for art made in the foam of lattes. Using only a toothpick, Breach is able to mark detailed faces in the foam, only to have his coffee creations fade away quickly. "I had massive amounts of time at a lonely hotel barista station with not too many orders," Breach told The Huffington Post in an email interview. "I passed the time challenging myself with increasingly complex designs... People really reacted to it so I kept going and here I am today." Each portrait takes about five minutes to make and lasts about as long. Here's the nominees: [caption id="attachment_73318" align="aligncenter" width="600"]The Wolf of Wall Street The Wolf of Wall Street[/caption] [caption id="attachment_73317" align="aligncenter" width="600"]Her Her[/caption] [caption id="attachment_73316" align="aligncenter" width="600"]Gravity Gravity[/caption] [caption id="attachment_73315" align="aligncenter" width="600"]Dallas Buyers Club Dallas Buyers Club[/caption] [caption id="attachment_73314" align="aligncenter" width="600"]Captain Phillips Captain Phillips[/caption] [caption id="attachment_73313" align="aligncenter" width="600"]American Hustle American Hustle[/caption] [caption id="attachment_73312" align="aligncenter" width="600"]12 Years A Slave 12 Years A Slave[/caption]
