For the passion of food, the belief in Lebanon, and the appreciation of life, came out two great episodes about a wondrous city called Saida (Sidon). This City makes you fall in love with its atmosphere, food and people. You step into it without any expectations, but finish your day with an outstanding experience. Breathing the smell of the sea next to the Sea Castle, walking in the historical downtown, and passing by the modern side of this majestic city, a journey not to be missed.
It all started when I met Khudur Shamieh in Souk el Akel, a man in love with his city, wanted to invite me to discover it. Front Row Events, a renowned entertainment company in Saida made sure this tour would be memorable; Thank you you Aya Saidi for your efforts.
NoGarlicNoOnions and Front Row combined their efforts and planned two full days, holding 45 stops. A 1st time record accomplishing a tour of 26 stops in 12 hours, but it was worth every second. The warm mankoushe, crusty falafel, eclectic sidonian sweets (Malban, 2as7a, ra7a, mshabak, halewe, baklewa, 3youn el maha), unique shawarma, marvelous cocktails, authentic food, and many touristic sites, made me fall in love with this unique city.
