It is superb, classy with touches of luxury and finesse like everything at The Rocco Forte. The hotel, room and bar were just great, not to mention their professional concierge service which did everything he could to keep us satisfied. That morning, after a relaxing long night sleep, it was breakfast, my favorite part of the part of day.
Breakfast at The Rocco Forte is served in the main restaurant. A high ceiling, colorful paintings and some buffet tables where food is served. You are welcomed by a hostess who shows you the table while coffee is served, before walking the displays of fresh and colorful food.
Inside a cozy space is the main buffet. Cheese, ham, salmon, sausages, yogurt and fruits. Cereals, fruit salad and the smoothie of the day, bread and a selection of viennoiseries, honey, cakes and cupcakes. The choices are enough to make you drool.
The Eggs Benedict arrived. Two poached eggs that looked bizarre and different from any I've had to date. The hollandaise sauce laid on top looks like it has been heated, creating lines of yellow on the eggs. Two poached eggs, big in size and molten in the middle are separated from the English muffins by ham or salmon. A strong orange color, salted and peppered, a tender egg and a light bodied hollandaise. That's the work of a master chef.
On the next morning I had scrambled eggs with vegetables. A beautiful, colorful mix with juicy eggs. Add salt and pepper and enjoy. I also tried their brioche, the blueberry muffins and some jams. The pretzels are also very good. But my favorite was the fruit salad mix. I took a bowl and filled it with cereals, I added dried fruits, some seeds, diced pineapple and melon and topped it with yogurt. It's a yummy treat for a great start of day.
It's a refreshing ambiance with positive vibes, sun comes from the east caressing all the tables with a staff that's smiley and, most importantly, happy.
