Now open in Mar Mikhael, Zalabya is a small eatery reviving the old traditional homey dessert called "Zlebyeh". Feeling like a Lebanese doughnut, this sweet treat is made of deep fried sticky dough then drizzled with sugar syrup and topped with powdered sugar. Zalabya has also introduced a variety of sandwiches and burgers to complete one's meal.

I personally didn't like the way their do their Zlebyeh... It's too oily, too crunchy, not spongy enough on the inside, way too aromatic and extremely sweet. Before giving my final judgment, I'll plan another visit to try other varieties from their menu.

Check out the place's photos and menu while I visit for a detailed review.
