I went to Yoshi to enjoy dinner with my family. I was not planning on writing a review that night... but I couldn't stop myself from doing so. It was my third time already and every time the experience is better than the one before. Exceptional salads, one of a kind seafood ceviche and much more, all in a cozy and calm atmosphere handled by professional staff.
The good thing is that food is really taken seriously here. The seafood offered here is of great quality, the noodles are better than any I have tried at Chinese restaurants, the ceviche is as good as the one I remember trying in Barcelona.
Order the crispy salmon avocado; a bowl of salmon cubes mixed with ripe avocado and a topping of crisps. And I said: "Ça c'est bon... c'est très très bon!"
I'm not sure if I am describing my feelings properly; every single thing I ate is close to perfection! The crunchy spring rolls, the fluffy shrimp tempura and again the crispy salmon salad which I adored. Salmon raw is a must! Fresh scallops ... OMG!
How great it is when the temaki cone is wrapped with a crisp nori leaf? Fresh as if it was imported from Japan this morning and filled with an excellent non-sweet rice and crisp salmon skin. They do not do it with a mix of mayo or sweet teriyaki but fry them to a crunch.
The sushi and maki rolls were as good as they should be. Good rice, fresh fish, not chewy, beautifully presented - no plastic sheets were used to separate the rolls. Everything looks appetizing and more importantly tasty!
What grabbed my attention other than their tasty food is the cutlery and clean and well cared for plates - not a single chipped or scratched plate is served.
Yoshi is surely about the food, the experience and the attention put in every single detail.
I love it here and would recommend it to all my friends; a favorite Japanese experience in Metn.
