Walt Disney Studios has unveiled the Frozen-inspired suite at Quebec City’s famed Hôtel de Glace. Created entirely out of sculpted ice and snow and supervised by the film’s art director Michael Giaimo, the “Frozen Suite” is modeled after Anna & Elsa’s (characters in the movie) bedrooms. The collaboration will also include a “Frozen Activity Cave” bringing the wonder of Disney’s wintry tale to life like never before.
Located only 10 minutes from downtown Québec City, the Hôtel de Glace is a must-see attraction to discover each winter. With its huge snow vaults and its crystalline ice sculptures, North America’s oldest ice hotel impresses by its dazzling decor. From January 3rd until March 23rd, 2014, visit this ephemeral work of art inspired by Disney’s hit animation feature Frozen.
The successful musical about two princesses in an icy world has made $714,408,258 worldwide at the box-office, and Disney CEO Bob Iger hinted that Frozen may inevitably head to Broadway. Frozen has also scored two Oscar nominations, one for Best Animated Feature, and another for the film’s musical showstopper “Let It Go.”
