Toi & Moi is a cafe in Soho which occupies the corner of Berwick and D'Arblay. Located just a few meters from the famous Breakfast Club, Toi & Moi offers breakfast, pancakes and pastries.
A small cafe with only a couple of tables and serving pancakes, sandwiches and waffles. Order at the cashier and take a seat, food will follow. An open fridge displays some pastries which are honestly not too appetizing...but quick service. The service is welcoming yet the vibes are not so positive. The tables are dirty... and the music is unbearable!
Even though the plates are not appetizing and clearly lack finesse like everything else in this cafe, the food served is good!
Homey grilled cheese and ham sandwich exactly like the one I have at home. Fluffy pancakes with chocolate spread on top and a delicious Oreo cheesecake which at first I didn't consider ordering due to its bizarre shape.
I loved how the cheese melts and the excellent toasting of the bread, the pancake's quality and the super crunchy Oreo cheesecake. Now I know why they have a 4/5 on Facebook and not more.
More attention to detail is needed: better music, more finesse, better branding, better presentation. These are easy things that can turn an average corner cafe into a talked-about eatery.
