A professional social media presence on Instagram with beautiful photos make you want to visit The Union Kitchen. Walk into positive and happy vibes make you want to order everything! A sexy menu holds a choice of granola, one burger, pulled pork bowl, eggs Benedict, Croque Monsieur, fried chicken waffle, and three desserts to name a few.
Dimmed lights but it suits the place: sit at the bar lot in green stripes of led, choose the round table if you’re coming as a group or any of the other rectangular tables. Designs frames add a touch of color to the space.
I was excited to try everything! How can I leave without tasting the chicken waffles? It the hangover burger, or the pulled pork bowl! Wishing to order everything, I was expecting to be amazed by the food taste and quality.
Service: extremely slow service! Order and wait thirty minutes for your drinks to arrive. Then the waitress approached asking if we ordered any drinks. Food follows. After thirty minutes of waiting, music became a bit too much for my body to handle. Base, lounge, noisy and loud... I was hoping to eat good food! I didn’t feel like partying at 1 pm. They apologize for the wait, offered us coffee and then came the food!
Exceptional creations the way I like them. Complicated things the way I dream of them. Waffle with fried chicken and diced watermelon. Eggs Benedict and salmon. Croque Monsieur and spaghetti. I loved the chicken crunch and watermelon addition to the plate as well as the signature spicy sauce. The waffle on another hand should be toasted to crunch. The Croque Monsieur is so good; juicy on the inside, crunchy in the borders, with a load of cheese and thick ham. The hollandaise is strong and acidic.
Lol... I don’t understand how people talk about a The Gasoline burger when there is another close by as good as the one at The Union Kitchen. This is a great burger; this is a burger worth standing in line for a sweet sauce, juicy non-fatty patty, tender bun, caramelized onion, and sweet pickles. The burger has a certain intensity to it, a certain strength, a certain oomph — excellent truffle fries on the side.
When you eat food as good and receive a bill of only 130$ -the cheapest meal I’ve had in Copenhagen-, you will forget about the service incident. We had complimentary coffee, enjoyed our food, the best burger of Copenhagen, mouthwatering cheesecake and premium coffee.
The kind of gourmet street food I like. Happy to have had lunch here.
