Last summer, I remember trying Sweet Tea at the Souks. The location, the overall all set up was mesmerizing - a great escape within the city of Beirut itself. Owned by Chef Yannik Aleno, Sweet Tea sadly closed down, but the same location can still be enjoyed giving way the recent opening of The Garden, located amidst the Beirut Jewelry Souks.
This was sent by the new owners:
Opened in May of 2013, The Garden offers a garden setting, a full menu of Bistro type food and outstanding pastries prepared by our French executive chef. The Garden offers a large variety of salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes, a selection of both fish and meat and a wide selection of cakes, pastries and viennoiseries to sample on site or to order for home use. Special breakfast or afternoon tea menus are offered for all to enjoy in our secluded garden in the midst of the Beirut jewelry souks.
The Garden can seat 90 people outdoor and 25 people indoor - opening daily from 8 am until 11pm. I'm intrigued to give this new place a try... If you've tried it, let us know what you think?
