Now into its 13th year, The Garden Show & Spring Festival returns to the heart of Beirut with more flowers, brighter colors and exciting new events. This year, the show takes place under the theme, ‘The Garden of Scents.’ Lebanon is a Mediterranean country, full of life and its gardens are a reflection of that. On terraces and balconies sweeping across the country, fragrant flowers can be found such as gardenia, jasmine and Damascene roses.
Even in the concrete jungle of the city, the scent of jasmine fills the air. However, it is almost impossible to find Arabian jasmine, known in Arabic as “fill,” although it grew in abundance in the gardens of our grandparents. It continues to form part of our history and is very often used in a number of well-known Arabic expressions denoting freshness.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, The Garden Show & Spring Festival this year sheds light on Arabian jasmine. The event will mark the launch of a national campaign for the revival of this scented flower, which is a symbol of our natural heritage.
Thanks to the support and enthusiasm of partners, sponsors, exhibitors and more than 24,000 annual visitors, The Garden Show & Spring Festival has become the unique destination for all garden and outdoor lovers and is a long-awaited event in Beirut.
The magnificent park of the Beirut Hippodrome is the perfect venue for the show, offering a joyful and peaceful atmosphere while celebrating the great Lebanese way of life.
