"How can a hotel like the Westin have no lobby?" Is a question you may ask yourself as you walk in. Don't be too quick to even think it. The Westin Dublin does boast a large space where you can have coffee or meet friends, but it's up on the first floor. An elegant and cozy haven with a five-story high glass ceiling, where you can simply relax and enjoy gourmet sandwiches, morning coffee, a glass of champagne or for that touch of extra luxury, enjoy an afternoon tea in Dublin... The_Atrium_Westin_Dublin13 While moving around the hotel's floors to discover more hidden surprises, you will notice by the window is an inner court filled with tables. This is the Atrium, a unique restaurant occupying the middle area of the hotel. We tried it twice during our stay in Dublin and enjoyed a pleasant ambiance, an interesting menu and a feeling of being outside with the warmth of the inner space. I must say here that the staff is professional and concept of the restaurant is even more outstanding... But one thing to consider if you're planning on having dinner there is that they stop serving food and drinks at 7: 30pm. Yes, unlike Lebanon, most places around Europe serve dinner early. The_Atrium_Westin_Dublin32 The space described:
  • An English style lounge
  • Sofas of different shapes and tissue fabrics fill in the restaurant
  • Glass tables
  • Relaxing to the feet, thick carpets cover the space
  • A bar in the middle offers a large variety of drinks and draft beers
  • Some lamps here and there add a warming touch
  • Paintings and mirrors decorate the walls
  • A view of some of the rooms windows and corridors is guaranteed from above
  • On the tables: brown sugar, white sugar and a small plant
The menu sections:
  • Stay well
  • Thee classics
  • Revive
  • Heavenly
  • Atrium signature warm sandwiches
  • Refreshing
  • Inspire
  • Delightful
  • Coeliac friendly menu
  • Westin white wine
  • Westin red wine
  • Westin sparkling and rose
  • Westin wine half bottles
Dinner started with tap water offered with ice and lemon slice... We ordered:
  • Camembert and Avocado Sandwich: Open sandwich on toasted bread with spinach and walnut pesto. A superfood with potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, vitamins A,B,E,K. A slice of bread covered with avocado and Camembert. The avocado is too hard and the plate contains too much garlic. It's not a sandwich I recommend

  • Chili Chicken Wrap: Marinated chicken breast, fresh salads, guacamole sweet chili and cheddar cheese in a tortilla wrap. Soft tender wrap with chicken and chili sauce served with salad and dried beetroot and carrots. That's a great plate indeed. I loved it

  • Salmon Sandwich: Three layers of soft tender bread, fresh salmon. It's very good with a sweet aftertaste
The_Atrium_Westin_Dublin43
  • Create your Sandwich Experience: Traditional white bread, honey glazed ham, egg mayonnaise, sweet pickles and mayonnaise
The_Atrium_Westin_Dublin42 The pluses:
  • Tasty, affordable and beautifully presented plates
The minuses:
  • The knives simply don't cut! Please!
I enjoyed this place and its food. It's nice and affordable for a quick early dinner around... Make sure to be there before 7:30pm as that's when they stop serving food and drinks.
