I am sorry to share with you some disappointing news. Tomorrow's Souk el Akel has sadly been cancelled due to unforeseen measures.
The past two weeks have been a great success. It was hard to attain the legal permit that allowed us to set up this amazing food fiesta in the heart of Beirut, but we still managed to beat all odds facing us.
Unfortunately, obtaining the permit this time proved to be an impossible task, due to reasons that are as yet unclear. Despite the tremendous efforts already put in to making tomorrow's Souk el Akl an even bigger success, we are forced to cancel tomorrow's event.
In the meantime, please accept our most humble apologies, in hope that this issue will be resolved the soonest possible so we can go back to celebrating our beautiful Lebanon through food and rich ingredients.
Nothing will stop us from celebrating food and life in Beirut. Nothing will stop us from making Souk el Akel a weekly ritual bringing all Lebanese together under one roof...
