Souk el Akel: Revisited Specialties the Local Way at "Souk el Mawasem"

Experience a pure Lebanese street food adventure. For the first time, Souk el Akel, Lebanon's popular street food market, will be cooking only local innovative specialities live for everyone to taste and enjoy, using the purest of Lebanese ingredients and products. Over 20 stalls will be cooking "a la minute" revisited items we crave and love at Souk el Akel.

With the collaboration of Souk el Mawasem, this special edition of Souk el Akel aims at creating awareness of our local produce from all across the country, shedding light to our locally made goods by local experts from different villages across the country. 

Souk el Mawasem, which is taking place this weekend at Train Station, aims at creating a hub, a place to meet up with your friends and bring your children, while getting a taste of small towns across Lebanon in the midst of Beirut.

Souk el Mawasem is a seasonal event. Stroll amidst 50 stalls of a genuine a fresh farmers’ market where you will find fresh produce including vegetables and fruits, Mouneh preserved by local experts from different villages across the country, artisanal work and little knick knacks designed and handmade by some of our most talented artisans, unique handmade bites freshly cooked by housewives from various villages … and much more from Lebanese families and talents... Get the chance to meet and talk to farmers and food artisans, learn more about how and where food is produced, learn more about the people who work hard to bring you the most delicious and nutritious food around from honey, apples, pickles, jams, wheat, freekeh and much much more…

Souk el Akel is taking part of this unique seasonal event, cooking local innovative specialities live for everyone to taste and enjoy.Traditional and healthy food will be prepared 'a la minute' for you to enjoy alongside Souk el Mawasem.  It's is going to be a discovery journey for all of us... where flavors of Lebanon will meet.
