Slider Station Oman: Expected More Flavors

Written by Natasha

Slider Station is the first conveyor belt burger joint in the world. It is the brain child of Basil Al Salem, the creator of b+f Burger Boutique, b+f Open Flame Kitchen and b+f Roadside Diner. Spun off and created from the sliders idea of Burger Boutique, Slider Station takes on the concept of an American Gas Station in the 40s. This "industrial chic" restaurant specializes in classic and gourmet sliders as well as a wide range of American tapas, grills, innovative salads and freshly prepared high end desserts.

Located in the Shatti area in Muscat-Oman The Slider Station offers you a variety of mini burgers and a selection of salads.

The Slider Station is your typical american diner but with the lack of professionalism in the service. The fact that the waiters are pakistani or indians should not affect the service in my opinion its the lack of information that they are given from the Chef or manager. Nevertheless it is an experience to be in the heart of Oman and have the best mini burgers. All in all the food was outstanding the service needs to be worked on and if you are sitting outdoors spray yourselves with anti moskito.

I Ordered from the interesting menu:

  • The "dangerous burger" (chicken deep fried and marinated with a slice of lettuce)
  • The shrimp burger marinated in a very spicy sauce and deep fried. Served with cocktail sauce. That is Super yummy!!
  • The Moroccan salad! Lettuce, almonds, cheddar cheese, Boursin cheese, caramelised onions, raisins, butter toasted baguette on the side.the dressing was made of red berry vinegar, oil and herbs. Absolutely scrumptious!!!!
