Have you ever imagined spending the night with the waves tam-taming in the background? Or maybe tasting  delicious plates in a lounge atmosphere? Moving your body to the latest tunes under the stars? It's all possible...Head down to Sindbad in Gammarth where a full package of sensations is awaiting to explode.

Sindbad, a lounge, restaurant and club is located on the shores of Gammarth and welcomes the young generation for awesome nights of the funkiest sensations ever. Eat, chat and dance in an open air architectural paradise. It all starts when the door opens taking you down the stairs into a cozy violet ambiance of a large open space divided into four distinctive sections. Choose to sit next to the bar on the right or maybe closer to the beach around the other white bar, or maybe around the pool or for  guests seeking a calmer ambiance head towards the extreme right area which might be the calmer to enjoy. Luxury materials all blend together for the pleasure of your sensitive eyes. We arrived at 10pm and decided to start our evening with couple of bites to calm our hunger after a whole day on an empty stomach.

We ordered to eat:

  • The Four Seasons Pizza (tomato sauce, mozzarella, onions, green pepper, mushrooms and ham)
  • Individual Meat Skewers
  • Beef Filet
  • A Seasonal Salad
Afterwards, the vodka started flowing, bottle after the other until the early hours of the morning...

The food is good:
  • The meat skewers are unique and very tasty. Individual balls presented on toothpicks to enjoy individual bites. Just pick and bite. It's a success.
  • The pizza has a very thin dough, crunchy and generously stuffed. An adequate quantity of cheese and tomato sauce that made us order another one immediately.
  • The beef filet is tender and fresh with a tasty sauce.

The minuses:
  • The staff is extremely slow
  • The DJ is not up to my taste at all. The sequence of music is bad. He started calmly, than accelerated the beat then suddenly killed the ambiance in an inappropriate moment then up again finishing it with lousy house music that makes you want to leave.
  • Prepare yourself to pay much. It is expensive.
The pluses:
  • A lovely ambiance
  • An adequate and pleasant lighting
  • Good food
  • Heaters distributed all around the place transforming the cold winter nights into warm pleasant moments
I enjoyed my night and encourage you to try it whenever you're passing by the Tunisian capital. Sindbad reminded me of the Lebanese Skybar that offers more or less the same experience.
