Yes in Chekka! Chekka has a new coffee shop, Scooter & Bean, a real coffee shop like the ones you see in the famous capitals of the world, classier than Starbucks's with offerings at half the price. A scooter at the entrance hence the name, a long black mirror to the left side where the concept's manifesto is displayed, a long bar and some greenery here and there to add a touch of color. The walls are decorated with designs imported from Europe. Black metal, brick walls, a concrete floor, colorful sofas and a wide selection of coffee.

I stopped by and enjoyed a tasty cup of coffee while admiring the many details that make Scooter&Bean a trendy coffee place you would want to discover.

They loved, they dreamt, they brewed their vision into life. It all started with two young folks who had the ambition of creating a unique place that genuinely serves the greatest coffee. This is when Scooter & Bean first saw light in their very own hometown.

I enjoyed a caramel ice latte; light bodied, an enjoyable coffee flavor, skimmed milk and ice followed by their signature espresso.

Espresso... not like just any espresso, a real Italian espresso, light and enjoyably bitter, served at optimum temperature, a smooth acidity, a journey to Latin America, a hint of inspiration from Lebanese coffee... a real espresso far from being the result of a machine or having a commercial taste.

An interesting cafe where everything is labelled with their brand name. Good coffee, positive vibes, soothing music. One thing I loved are the date pops, handmade and homemade by a girl from the next village.

But sadly I can't say the same about the food. I was not impressed at all by the cakes, which are bought from a third party: they look good, but nothing else. Dry and hard carrot cake, dry chocolate fudge and sweet blueberry cake which lacks texture and needs more intensity of flavor. Even the cookies are way below expectation; I'm not sure if this supplier was a good choice.

If you're from the North, you'll feel proud the minute you walk into this place. A cafe with quality coffee at lower prices.
