Situated in the middle of nowhere, there are less than a handful of places to eat at Villa Borghi. We had a good feeling about their in-house eatery, Dei Nobili, so we decided to give it a try. Located on the ground floor, at the end of the corridor leading to the breakfast area, this restaurant is divided into two rooms. The first is Sala "Delle Dame", a very large space decorated with bright colors that expresses rare elegance and the restaurant area, Dei Nobili, that is a more intimate space, with the same splendor the whole hotel boast. Awarded two (fork & knife) by the Michelin guide, this restaurant really proved to have a lot to offer...
We arrived to a luxurious space, perfectly decorated and filled with the tiniest details of art and finesse. You cannot but get captivated by their Villeroy & Boch special plates selection, all painted by hand with different designs of nature. The kitchen, very refined, offers together with tradition, innovation and research and not forgetting the deep Mediterranean roots a very good and simple cuisine. A rare attention is put to serve guests with the finest raw products available.

- Beautiful mosaic marble floor

- Soft musical background
A very simple menu at very affordable prices, you will eat real homemade Italian food with no sophistication whatsoever. Really amazing, the plates are cheaper than a meal at McDonald's.

- Risotto with asparagus and crispy speck 12€
- Homemade tagliatelle with sea fish fantasy 12€
- Spaghetti pomodoro 10€
- Culatello and Finocchiona with melon 12€
- Tropical Prawns Catalan style 14€
- Buffalo mozzarella nibbles "Caprese" style 10€
Allow me to tell you things as is in a non sophisticated matter:
- Super affordable, the decoration is more expensive than the plates prices
- The food is amazing
- Pasta is perfectly done. One of the best I've ever had
- Dinner started with Rusticin crackers
- A sparkling wine aperitif (Calvi Pinot Nero) was offered
- Little amuses bouches followed (Choux with white cheese, Salmon bite and Bread)
The Food: Superb. Bravo
- Fresh mozzarella and tomatoes perfectly seasoned
- High quality ham and delicious melon
- The shrimps are very good
- The risotto is succulent: Just keep it aside to cool for a minute before you burn your throat
- Tomato pasta is just good. A homemade taste
- The tagliatelle with seafood, mixed with steamed vegetables is awesome. Beautiful and delicious. I loved it
The minuses:
- Waiters speak a little French or English. It's a bit complicated to communicate with them
- A hotel, near an international airport should hire a few English speaking personnel
I fell in love with Villa Borghi, which to me is more of a luxurious castle than a villa... and the restaurant is not less special. For 20€ per person, this place is worth coming to Milan for. I really loved it. Keep up the good work and simple things as well as great prices.
