Owned by the same people as Rassif Mina, this restaurant is quickly gaining momentum in Tripoli as the place for morning coffee and a healthy meal. It opens at 7 a.m. for early risers and students, and its beautiful interior and cozy design make it a perfect place to relax with a cup of coffee in hand.
Opened in early 2015, Rassif has quickly gained regulars as well as drawing on tourists that venture north and foreign aid workers. The clientele are in their 20s and 30s, mostly, and come to play tawlet (backgammon), catch up over coffee or a bite. Service is very friendly and attentive and the coffee served is sourced from Younes and includes a special Rassif blend. I love the food here, it is and feels healthy offering a mix of several textures and flavors you'd happily have again and again.
