Pret A Manger, my favorite fast food sandwich shop has opened its first store in the Middle East. The chain with the star sign, chrome furniture and freshly prepared offerings became a preferred lunch stop for many around London and New York. Finally in the Middle East, Pret has opened its first store in the Emirates at Dubai International Airport Terminal 1.
The new store, located in the new Concourse D, includes the concept’s trademark large kitchen and will be open 24 hours a day. The opening brings Pret’s sandwich empire to about 400 shops worldwide, including the US, France, Hong Kong and China, although about three- quarters of the shops are still located in the UK capital.
Pret’s freshly prepared, good natural food (and good organic coffee) is now available in Dubai International Airport, located at Terminal 1, Concourse D.
"Our passionate, hard-working new team have been training in Pret shops around the world. And our clever logistics people have secured daily deliveries of amazing ingredients (like French butter croissants, Scottish smoked salmon, fresh avocados and organic coffee) to the kitchen of our lovely new shop. We look forward to serving customers in our very first Pret shop in Dubai…a fresh, new beginning in the Middle East. Welcome to Pret, Dubai."
Inspired by the local culture, Pret comes with the same international look but a dodge rent customized menu. Expect to try the hummus wrap, the falafel flat bread, the Mediterranean tuna flatbread and many others.
Happy and excited to see Pret in the Middle East I hope to have a taste of it in Beirut soon.
