A very positive change. The Pizza is delicious!

In my last review, when Pinocchio was in its opening month, the experience was not as expected starting for the lighting to the ambiance and even the food. Last week, I was invited to Pinocchio for a business dinner and didn't know what to expect.

Pinocchio, located on the famous Antelias strip is one of the classiest restaurants of the street serving a delicious and correct Italian cuisine where as the others serve the easiest international and Lebanese dishes that fit well with the Nargileh everyone comes for. The old Lebanese house with its arcades and three different rooms adequate enough to make your experience pleasant.

The menu is diversified and rich from Antipaste, Pizza, Paste, Primi Piatti, Carne e Pesce, Contorni and Dolce. I really appreciated the "Menu Dietetique" page or Diet menu proposed by Joya Farhat Kassatly where all items are listed with their Calories value to maintain a thin line or lose weight.

We ordered for dinner: - Calamari alla griglia (Grilled fresh calamari) - Pizza Proscuitto e funghi (Tomatoes, mozzarella, anchovies & black olives) - Risotto al Limone e Mozzarella Affumicata (Smoked mozzarella & lemon risotto) - Gnocchi con Pesto (Cream, pesto & mozzarella) - Melanzane alla Parmigiana (Eggplant & parmesan gratin) Food was delicious: The Calamari perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned and marinated, the Pizza crust is exquisite and the ingredients fresh, the Melanzane very generous and very tasty and as for the Risotto it is correct. To tell you the truth I was impressed by the food quality and taste. The experience was very positive making me have a new address in the region for tasty Italian food.

What I didn't like about the place: - The waiters are very average simply taking dishes in and out of the kitchen - The discussions that happen between the staff at the entrance of the kitchen as if they were on a constant coffee break - Two persons, maybe the manger and owner, going in and out of the kitchen without any special costumes or hygienic head caps. - The menu spelling mistakes and random capitalization are unacceptable. Imagine that Mozzarella is written in two different ways more than ten times, and half of the words have capital letters and others don't without them being proper names or at the beginning of a sentence. The desserts are as well tasty. We ordered the Tiramissu and the Apple Crumble that my friends liked.

It was a nice experience I will be repeating soon.
