Pepsi Goes Back to the Basics with Caleb's Kola

PepsiCo just launched an all new artisanal craft soda brand Caleb's Kola, named after the inventor of Pepsi, Caleb Bradham. Fueled by the Millennial generation (people in their 20s and 30s), consumers have been gravitating towards products that use pure and simple ingredients, and feel authentic and honest. Caleb's Kola is Pepsi's response to this shift in consumer shopping habits, according to The Dieline.

The new soda comes in a 10-ounce glass bottle reminiscent of a bygone era. Caleb's is made with just sparkling water, Fair Trade cane sugar, kola nut extract, and a "secured blend of brown spices from around the world."

Will Coke, or other big soda brands follow with a similar approach.
