Driving by the Antelias and Naccache area on a daily basis I come across new cafes opening. The area is flooded with them. They all serve food, coffee of course and the famous Nargileh, which I believe they would not have survived without. One of the latest places is the Outdoor Cafe.
The Outdoor Cafe has added something new to the already existing menu and that is a play area for kids. I think it's a great idea for families who want to go out - kids want to play and their parents want to relax and enjoy their meal and nargileh. The venue also proposes a complete solution for children birthdays and special occasions. From day one, the Outdoor Cafe focuses on improvement and client satisfaction. I have been there three times already and every visit is better than previous one. Waiters are getting more and more professional, service is improving and food quality as well is great. And another thing I noticed there is that the Chicha guys do not flight around waiting for their tips. They are available and always smiling.
On the menu, on very first page, you can read the manager's message: "At the outset I ask God to help and guide our steps to what pleases him on all things.Today we are warmly welcoming tomorrow with thoughtful and intelligent suitable plans to continue our achievements by attracting families in quest of tasty food, exceptional beverage, comfortable atmosphere, friendly service approach and enjoyable moments with their kids while profiting from fast internet service, all, for very reasonable prices. We as Outdoor team stress on quality, freshness, fair pricing, staff training, employees welfare and fair profits. Most often speak and write about the benefits of smart and concise strategic plans. However without effective implementation even the best strategic plans are useless." That is a very nice and true. You feel what is written at the Outdoor Cafe.
The menu is very big with a very large choice that include soups, starters, salads, plates, pastas, sandwiches & burgers, main courses, Lebanese mixed grills, Lebanese corner, overnight menu and flawless finish. During the three times, I tried their burger, their pizza, their steak, the signature famous kebbe, French fries, Edamame, Nachos, shrimp tempura, their salmon sandwich and some Lebanese appetizers. As you can see the variety of food choice range from different cuisines. I would reasonably say that the food is more than good for a cafe and the freshness clearly shows. Some dishes are better than others or should I say they are better at certain foods more than others.
I preferred the Lebanese section on the meat dishes, liked the french fries, didn't like the pizza much, enjoyed the fresh bread quality, didn't like the commercial aspect of the nachos (I wouldn't use that chips quality at all), adored the burger... If I were to compare and choose the top three cafes in Antelias, Naccache strip, in terms of food quality I would say: "Outdoor", "Public" and than "Jalset Al Set". A major important thing to change though: Please stop the 'Happy Birthday' music that plays every 30 minutes in the venue and that is so unbearable. Not every guest who decides to celebrate should annoy others with him.
Try it, you'll like it and don't forget to pass by the Roof Terrace.
