This place used to be better. I visited this hotel multiple times in the last couple of years, and I can confidently say that due to the worsening of the service and accommodation, Melia Royal Alma Boutique Hotel is losing its standard.
I have been to this hotel twice in the past four years and unfortunately everything seems to be regressing.The service used to be much better:the rooms were cleaner and the room service and amenities were better. Now, the hotel is becoming very old and requires harsh renovation.
Nonetheless, it is a great boutique hotel in the heart of Paris, sitting 5 minutes away from the Champs Elysées, in a calm neighborhood where you can always find a place to park.The first time I visited this hotel, I was really happy. There offered chocolate squares on the bed, the weather predictions for next day, a towel on the floor, a bathrobe and slippers, though small things, they made me come again. Yet, those add-ons all had disappeared in 2010.
The breakfast is purely French and pleasant. The lobby is old though, and contains dirty couches. A couple of thousands will likely be spent on this hotel before it loses all its clientele.
