Ladurée Celebrates 150 Years of Macarons

This year marks the 150th anniversary of NoGarlicNoOnions: Bubble Gum Flavored Macaroons by Ladurée - the world's best macaron makers in my opinion and I think the opinion of so many out there! For this occasion, Ladurée has launched the     "Incroyables" where they are renewing its famous Parisian macaron and creating a delicious, surprising new recipe to celebrate the occasion. The “Incroyables” pay tribute to Ladurée first macaron and to the delicious flavor of almonds.

To further celebrate its birthday, La Durée will be creating limited edition boxes every month. They will team up with a designer/artist each month of the year to bring you beautiful-designed limited edition boxes and signature macaroons.

This month, Ladurée teams up with Tsumori Chisato, Japan's most poetic, inventive fashion designer, to celebrate its 150th anniversary. The pink macaron features a light, smooth cream with the subtle flavor of cherry blossom created by Vincent Lemains under the artistic direction of Tsumori Chisato. It comes in a limited-series gift-box trimmed with exclusive decoration by Tsumori Chisato. If you ask me, this is a good enough excuse to travel yet another time to Paris, or London or New York, where Ladurée is opening a tea salon on Madison Avenue. But since Ladurée is now everywhere, I can drop by the one in ABC department store in Lebanon...
