Located at a ten minutes walk from Florence city center, the Regency is a luxury boutique hotel for travelers seeking calm. Old and authentic, the decor takes you on journey back memory lane making you travel through time. Burgundy royal colors, carved wood, gold, and silver are some of the items used. Enjoying breakfast, sipping my coffee, and writing my review, I was ready for a great day of discoveries in Florence.
One kilometer from the center, expect to take a walk every time you want to visit the city. Florence being one of the world’s most beautiful cities, there’s something to see at every corner.
Small, like the description: “Small luxury hotels of the world,” the hotel occupies an old residential building of the last century. Arrive at the reception, check in and walk to the room. Small rooms with a huge bed in the middle, a luxurious bathroom with a tub, a working desk, and two chairs. Beautifully decorated, the rooms are made to ease your stress.
Breakfast is offered to all guests; croissants, cheeses, cold cuts, smoked salmon, cereals, and fruits. Presented in silver plates and served at the main restaurant. It was raining that day so we couldn’t sit on the terrace. I loved the salmon, super quality of thick fatty salmon.
I loved the bed! Hard bed and thin pillows, but what’s needed for a great sleep. Put the air conditioning unit on auto 21 and sleep like a baby. Two amazing nights that relaxed all my body.
I enjoyed my stay away for on the city’s hustle and bustle. "The Regency" is a good choice for your next stay in Florence.
