The Hard Rock Cafe, Beirut (Restaurant Closed)

Love the American spirit Do you ever talk about a certain place that’s ‘historic’ in a way, a place where you go to over and over again and never get bored? Some places are just special for what they are… One such place is definitely the Hard Rock Café Beirut – A place that promises to rock your senses with tantalizing food and drinks and an awe-inspiring rock memorabilia collection time and time again.

Located in the center of the city of Beirut, among the finest hotels, boasting a breathtaking sea-view, Hard Rock Cafe Beirut was the first Hard Rock Café to open in the Middle East in 1996. I love this place, and really don't know why I feel like passing by whenever I the opportunity. When I was a kid, I used to take my new dates to the Hard Rock Cafe Beirut where you eat well, you enjoy your time with their happy and funny waiters, you drink well and enjoy the show or concert they have.

The collections they have are very nice. A museum displaying items previously owned by renowned artists from around the world: Are those the originals? A question I don't have an answer too but anyway, I enjoy it. Whether it's a Cadillac, a Harley Davidson or any funky Rock'n'Roll item, the Hard Rock Cafe Beirut is different from all other newborn diners who try to make their places look 'American'. As one of the city’s largest entertainment destinations in Lebanon for you and your family, Hard Rock Cafe Beirut features a 204-seat restaurant, a guitar shaped bar and a stage for live concert performances and special events. It occupies 900 square meters between the entrance which includes the famous Hard Rock Café merchandise store, the mezzanine and the main dining area. I used to collect their T-shirts from around the world. I had more than 15 shirts until I stopped and started collecting other things, like my Absolut Vodka bottle and my collection of over 3000 match boxes. For cuisine, the Hard Rock Cafe offers a melange of American fare and Southern cooking with a great variety of sumptuous food, salads and more, and forgetting the wide choice of mouth-watering deserts. Their Legendary Hamburgers are my favorites; thick, juicy and mouthwatering.

I tried on my last visit: HARD ROCK NACHOS: Fresh corn tortilla chips piled high with Jack and Cheddar cheeses and seasoned pinto beans. Served with sour cream, chopped green onions, pico de gallo, jalapeños and a side of fresh Hard Rock Grilled Salsa. Big enough to share. and HICKORY BBQ BACON CHEESEBURGER: Basted with our special Hickory Bar-B-Que sauce and smothered with caramelized onions. Topped with crisp seasoned bacon and melted Cheddar cheese.

When in Lebanon, there’s no better place to sit one out than the Hard Rock Cafe Beirut – keeping the spirit of Rock ‘n’ Roll alive and kicking.
