Located underground by the canal, Greenwoods serves English breakfast all day until four in the afternoon. Renowned for its tasty bites, Greenwoods is highly ranked on social media. Take the wooden stairs and reach a room looking like an old house cave. Decorated with portraits and photos of Amsterdam on one side and a mirror on the other. The kitchen is located on the first floor.
I had to wait for fifteen minutes to be seated and here is when the experience started. Down below is more of a nightclub feel. A dark space dimmed lights with lounge music more suitable for cigar places.
Food is good, really good, way better than “Roasters&Bakers”. Fluffy and well-cooked pancakes, crispy and salty bacon, tasty and fresh flavors. These are real egg royal! Fluffy English muffins, a load of salmon, well cooked poached eggs with flowing egg yolk and an acidic hollandaise on top. Yummy! I’ve been dreaming of something as good for long.
Try the banana cake, it has a black color, ice cream in the middle, crunchy almond flakes, strawberries, and bananas. The cake is intensely balanced, non-sweet and really tasty.
It is underground and you’ll have to wait to be seated... but it’s worth it! Very good food is served here. It was my third breakfast that morning and I finished the three plates.
