Much more than a French restaurant, Felicie is a beautiful piece of architecture open in the heart of Mar Mikhael. Felicie is the baby of Raphael and Jihane, a happy couple that has left years of consultancy in France, to invest in a country they love. Jihane is Lebanese, Raphael is French, together they meet and great, suggest and guide you through the varied menu of French choices.

The place is really amazing! I loved how colors and reflections are embraced together into a square space where a bar, a seating area, and a mezzanine come together to impress. Amazing chairs, a long blue sofa and another red one, design chandeliers and lights, bricks and a mirror with an industrial feel. The most interesting part of the ceiling made of mirrors making the space look way bigger.

The menu is varied and satisfies all cravings: starters, cheese and cold cuts, sardines, tartines, tartars and Burrata, five salads, the famous buckwheat crepes of Brittany, main plates of meat and fish, the burger, the club, dessert crepes, desserts.

Dinner starts with a basket of bread accompanied by a choice of dips and butter. Everything made in-house, spread and enjoy. Pure olives, intense butter, and freshly baked bread.

We received the food... I had the first bite... Food is good; A box of sardine presented on a plate with a quarter of lemon and a perfect ball of butter. A fresh salad with lobsters and mushrooms. A tomato tart that's sweet and sour. Four balls if Babibel cheese with tomato sauce... good looking plates and premium ingredients offering a unique taste, the taste of know-how and a touch of happiness. I enjoyed my starters!

Main plates followed:

  • I loved the fries! Crispy crunchy and well salted.
  • The burger patty is excellent but can’t say the same about the thick bread.
  • Try the mushroom with cheese and walnuts.
  • Dorade Meunière: tender and juicy, the fish marinated with lemon and olive oil is memorable.
  • I expected the buckwheat crepe to be crispy.

Attention to details is what makes Felicie special:

  • Colorful plates of different sizes and shapes.
  • Big sized Italian wine and water glasses.
  • Metallic bread casseroles.
  • A detailed explanation of the menu by the owners themselves.

Desserts: plates look great, good quality dark chocolate but unfortunately the crepes are chewy. I enjoyed the Kouign-Amann cake, puff dough, caramelized apples, and homemade salted butter caramel.

A homey French ambiance managed by a couple that makes sure you are welcomed home. Sit on the terrace, have a drink, puff your cigar and feel the vibes of Mar Mikhael.
