Death Wish: World's Strongest Coffee

If you're looking for something strong to get you up every morning? Maybe Death Wish is your solution. The name itself scares me, but I had to share this with you. This coffee has been labelled the World's Strongest Coffee, "Death Wish" is the most highly caffeinated premium dark roast organic coffee available.  I don't know if I will be trying it sometimes soon, I might just stick to my new discovered passion for the moment.

It is made with coffee beans that have 200% the amount of caffeine as your typical coffee shop coffee, giving you double the buzz.

From the makers - understanding coffee! Why is Death Wish stronger.

The coffee you purchase from high end coffee roasters and retailers is mostly the Arabica type coffee bean. Arabica coffee beans are more flavorful and more highly sought after than the other type of bean which is the Robusta coffee bean. Robusta coffee beans are easy to grow, but have a much harsher taste than Arabica coffee beans. Arabica coffee beans have much lower caffeine content in comparison with Robusta coffee beans. Also darker roast coffee beans have less caffeine than lighter roasted coffee beans. (The longer and darker you roast the coffee bean the more caffeine gets pulled/cooked out) Therefore, by roasting an Arabica coffee bean to a dark roast you have a coffee that is strong in flavor but not very strong in caffeine content. Robusta coffee beans are almost exclusively roasted very dark, because the dark roasted flavor hides the bitter taste of the bean. Since Robusta coffee beans are not sought after by high end retailers/roasters, little care is given to growing and purchasing this type of bean responsibly. (Many chemicals used in the growing process, farmlands are stripped of nutrients, not fairly traded) So, we went on a mission to find a coffee that is not only dark, rich, bold and flavorful but also has high caffeine content. All while being grown organically, fairly traded, and shade grown (saves the land). To boot we found one that is also bird friendly.
