A wide and relaxing bed, a nicely lit room, a huge bathroom, and a separate toilet, I was relaxing in my room and wished time stopped. De L’Europe hôtel is one of Amsterdam’s most renowned hotels located in the heart of the action, just minutes from the Amsterdam sign, the red light district and the beautiful canals.

Experiencing the hotel starts at the reception where two gentle ladies take care of your arrival, and a concierge makes sure you get a table at any of the city’s best restaurants. Luxurious, yet simple and enchanting, the lobby smells so good that you feel like spending the day around.

Every detail counts, the team is trained to speak and handle customers professionally, drawing a smooth smile on their face.

After a long night sleep, a refreshing shower and a relaxing bathtub moment, I went down for breakfast. Breakfast is served every morning and will cost you 42€. Eggs any style, a buffet of beautiful choices, fruits and cereals, bread and viennoiseries. All you need without sophistication and complication. I loved everything, the fluffy pancakes, the unique eggs Benedict, the croissants and quality of cheeses and hams.

Walking is part of Amsterdam’s experiences; I was so tired and decided to have dinner at the hotel then take the elevator up to my room. By the water, enjoying the passing boats, I sat for dinner at De L’Europe hotel in Amsterdam. Fully booked for the night, I could barely find a table. On the menu, a selection of gourmet choices of fish and meat. A head waiter serves the wine and takes the orders by heart, waiters walking around in a hurry... an enjoyable ambiance, but not enough staff members to handle tonight’s load.
