Zaytunay Bay has lots of places to discover, but one of them recently caught my attention: The Cozmo Cafe.
Other than the fact that the place is owned and run by the Boubes Group, who also created popular concepts like Scoozi, Met Cafe, Napolitana to name a few, Cozmo Cafe oozes with style and colors.
As you walk into the restaurant, you are welcomed by various details that keep you reading and analyzing before you actually sit down on your table. The colors of the bar, the writings, the lamps and the design chairs perfectly fit among the fresh white brick walls automatically puts you in a soothing mood.
True to its name, Cozmo is short for cosmopolitan.
As we sat down, a nice waiter hands us the menu, a nice paper menu, adequate for the place, which is extensive in its variety of foods that cater to different tastes, from salads, bites, crepes, pastas, pizzas burgers and sushi ...the choice is massive - an international menu including a wide variety of delicacies, drinks, coffee, desserts and frozen desserts. Also, a unique Asian conveyor adds a quality to the already entertaining dining experience of the concept. Next to it, on the wall the challenge of the tower. Build your own tower with the plates: yellow at 9,750L.L, Orange at 8,500L.L, red at 7,250L.L, green at 6,000L.L and blue at 4,750L.L.
Menu also includes clarifications on certain foods that are too spicy, healthy, specialty, what contains nuts or seeds - being extra careful for the more sensitive customer. The best part of the menu is sushi vocabulary list printed on the back page of the menu. It's a smart idea, which I think is important as a lot of people don't know the details and meaning of every sushi, sashimi etc bites. To start we ordered the Edamame, which was nice and tasty covered with a special herb mixture; a selection of mini burgers that could have tasted better as the order came a bit cold and the meat patty was too small for the bread used, while the tomato slice was even bigger than the meat. The meat was too dry and the bread was too thick.
- The ambiance and the deception making it one of the trendiest restaurants on the Bay where a very wide choice of International dishes is offered. No one will leave unsatisfied.
- The wine list printed of a normal A4 paper and wrapped with a protective nylon sheet. It looked old ad dirty. As wine is considered a luxurious drink, it should be given the proper presentation.
