Back! To my favorite diner in town and probably the last standing. One of Lebanon’s few franchises has celebrated 20 years of operations in Achrafieh... and when the brand worldwide isn’t trendy anymore, Beirut “Diner” is still serving diner food when the other local brands have changed and uplifted to casual dining. Burgers, fries, nachos, quesadillas, and ribs... I love to come here and let myself go!
Happily and proudly Non-smoking, Chili’s welcomes you for lunch and dinner, handled by professional waiters working here for years. They are of a certain age, mature, and ready to serve you professionally.
Coming up with a new menu, Chili’s did a comeback -like many before- with a touch of fresh colors; light red, light blue, yellow, light green. New photos, more light, less oil, shiny burgers and something for everyone on the varied menu.

Start with the crunchy tacos! Every bite has a strong crunch, every bite leads to another, and here you go again and again. Crunchy plain tacos, no powder on top with a side of four different sauces. French fries followed a big plate of Texas fries, chili con carne on a mountain of fries.
Chicken fritters; deep-fried fingers covered with a tender batter that feels like bread. Chewy and undercooked on the inside but I’m sure it’s a mistake; a side of delicious fries and corn on the cob.
Fajitas are new! Generously presented with a load of mushrooms, there comes a mountain of chicken, beef, and shrimp. A huge portion for a party of five. Tender beef, tender chicken, tender shrimp; a bed of grilled vegetables, a crown of molten cheese and a heart of meat. It’s an enjoyable plate.
Now the burger! That is a meat patty! That’s what a diner burger should look and taste like! Excellent tender bun, juicy 100% beef patty and condiments. Bravo for such a great burger I really enjoyed; no sophistication, no pretension; the simplicity of a good American burger.
French fries are the best: thick, crispy and salted fries. My wife’s boneless chicken salad is so rich, so big, flavorful and loaded with taste.
You can’t come to Chili’s and not have the chocolate dessert! The world famous, must try, extravagant - Molten Chocolate Cake. Probably one of the country’s best chocolate desserts is definitely an award winner. Imagine a mountain of tender chocolate cake filled with a lava of chocolate and topped with a big ball of ice cream. It’s breathtaking! It’s phenomenally delicious.
A giant brownie served in a pan with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Imagine a tender and thick cookie served warm with a big scoop of ice cream. It’s so finger-licking good!
I enjoyed my lunch; my kids did too and promised myself to come again soon.
