Beirut is alive… It was 1976 when the last time a train stopped at the Mar Mikhael train station, but tonight, a part of Lebanon’s history saw life again.
Hundreds of people flooded into the huge abandoned hangar sizzling with food stands, home accessories, clothes, chocolates, Christmas decorations and much more. Loads of Christmas treats including a kids play area, live music...
All for a good cause, people experienced a one of a kind Christmas Market at Christmas in Action, a fantastic initiative by In Action events and NoGarlicNoOnions that will benefit the Children Cancer Center of Lebanon.
Part of this initiative is Souk el Akel, the premiere Christmas Food Market in Lebanon. This festive Christmas edition of your weekly Souk el Akel is filled with innovative bites prepared by local ambitious and talented people.
Have a glass of wine from St Thomas or a beer from Colonel… or even an ice Popsicle served with wine, a special Christmas edition burger from Burger Bar and so much more unique bites… crepes, brioches, cookies, sweets… the list and choices are endless... You better come hungry.
Set in the Christmas market exhibition of the year, Christmas in Action, Souk el Akel will be taking place from the 2nd to the 6th of December 2015.
