Beirut Cooks is a unique cookbook that features a wide variety of people from all walks of life. Author Pascale Habis introduces us to artists, creatives, writers, entrepreneurs and business people—cooks and food enthusiasts representative of a modern, vibrant and happening Beirut.

Beirut Cooks goes beyond just recipes, giving us a glimpse into the lives of no less than 37 participants. They welcome us into their homes to share their homemade, personal recipes from all corners of the world, offering a taste of old and new, simple and complex, traditional and contemporary. Special attention has been given to the book’s artistic direction and writing, so that the final result can be admired for both its aesthetic and culinary attributes. Beirut Cooks offers the reader a journey into cooking, starting with raw ingredients and ending with delectable and delightful meals.
