Illogical, much more than the eyes can believe, a lounge way more luxurious than a seven stars hotel will propose; it’s enormous in size, exceptional in design, impressive in services and outstanding in offerings. Welcome to Qatar’s one of a kind and state of the art first class lounge I personally never imagined existed. It’s pure amazement the minute you walk in, the door opened to a jaw-dropping view! Wow... I was transported into another dimension!
Every inch, every feature, and every facet is specially designed to create the most luxurious lounge experience ever imagined.
Doha’s Al Safwa first class lounge located on the third floor is only for passengers flying first class. Guests or elite members are not allowed in so this lounge remains for few privileged travelers. It’s big, it’s so big that it took me 20 minutes just to walk it through and take photos.
Access the lounge from a long and high atrium leading to a crossroad. The restaurant occupies the left side while the spa and calm spaces take the right. The lounge has it all, things you won’t even imagine; a family room, a microwave for mums, a gaming space, a spa, quiet rooms and beds, a fine dining restaurant, a bar, dozens of seats and their screens, individual lounges and much more.
Inspired by the design of Doha’s Museum of Islamic Art, Al Safwa First Lounge encapsulates its cultural surroundings with simplicity and grace. Clad in sandstone and impeccable marble detailing, the open spaces are luxuriously appointed to inspire guests and exude a serene sense of tranquillity.
In the heart of the lounge, find the fountain; a big fountain with water flowing from the high ceiling. It’s much more than a water fountain, it’s a masterpiece of modern art. Key highlights that contribute to the harmonious essence of the lounge include decoratively designed features such as the grand water fountain, an abundance of natural light, and a showcase of Islamic fine art installations and artefacts on loan from the Museum of Islamic Art.
A fine dining restaurant exactly like you would expect in a hotel; with its open kitchen of chefs lively cooking your food, you can order a plate of spaghetti, soups, chicken, and beef; the international menu is served by a team of professional waiters pampering you and making sure you leave happy and satisfied; for the record, remember that everything is completely free. The culinary creations in Al Safwa First Lounge are a staple of the highly luxurious experience that comes with being First Class. The 250-seat restaurant of palette-pleasing flavors feature both International and Arabic-infused cuisines and premium beverages.
From delectable appetizers to savory entrées, guests can choose from a selection of signature à la carte dishes, all freshly prepared and made with local ingredients.
The quintessential relaxation experience in the lounge is in the Vitality Spa. Featuring nine treatment rooms, this is where you can indulge all of your senses with a selection of muscle treatments that renew and re-energize. Before your flight, you can also step into the relaxing jacuzzi, enjoy a pedicure and manicure, or rejuvenate in the relaxation room.
The lounge, yes, inside this lounge, you can find a museum: the museum of Islamic art.
The Al Safwa First Lounge is a gleaming example of Arabian grandeur and elite exclusivity in a refined setting. It’s designed for those who enjoy the finer things in life and want to make the most out of every moment. It’s truly a First Class experience that’s exclusively yours.
The Al Safwa First Lounge is located on Level 3, with a dedicated entrance immediately after the Immigration and Security Check area.
I’m not sure if words are enough to express my amazement; this place cannot even be considered a lounge, it’s an experience, probably the Disneyland of First Class travelers.
