During my childhood, I remember visiting Ehden with my parents every other weekend, a village my family loved for its people, scenery, calm and positive vibes. The famous El Ferdaws was our favorite stopover for lunch there at least once a month. One of Lebanon's biggest restaurants, it serves tasty traditional cuisine from Zgharta, a village famous for its superb culinary creations.

On winter days, El Ferdaws welcomes you in its enclosed area overlooking that huge terrace which is vibrant all summer long with probably a hundred tables receiving guests from the four corners of the country. We arrived at one for lunch, welcomed by smiley staff and were shown to our table. I was so excited to be revisiting El Ferdaws, after more than four years since last time, to enjoy their Kebbeh and other local specialities.

Today's experience was excellent! Great food, good service, professional attention... a memorable lunch.

Every single plate brought a smile to my face. The hummus, moutabbal, stuffed grapevine leaves, tabbouleh, French fries, fattouch, arayess Kafta and meat, before indulging in their exceptional "Kebbet Cha7me", that Kebbeh ball filled with minced meat and ghee. And lunch was not over yet...

We were also served a big platter of stuffed grapevine leaves with lamb cutlets. Tender leaves cooked to perfection with a soft filling of rice and minced meat. However, I would have added more lemon juice to the pot to boost the flavor.

Then dessert, fruit and several bags of Kebbeh to take back home with me.

I love it here and recommend it to all my friends.
