7-Day Adventure Trip to the World-Class Tours

Hundreds of day-adventure tours are experienced by tourists and adventure seekers every year. Whether you are a casual hiker or mountain climber, if chosen right, day adventures can be your source of adrenaline. Here are 7-day adventure trips that offer world-class tours.

  1. Grand Canyon Camping Tour

Situated in Arizona, the massive Grand canyon stretches over 277 miles with a width of up to 18 miles and a depth of over a mile. Being one of the world’s most prominent and grandest natural attractions in existence, the Grand canyon attracts a massive footfall of both families and adventure seekers. Although the South Rim of the Grand Canyon generally stays open even in the winter, the North Rim is open from May till October.

Thanks to the Colorado River flowing through the heart of it, river rafting, hiking, and other adrenaline-kicking activities are popular in the Grand canyon. If you’re an adventure seeker, it’s recommended that you hike down the river from the rim and camp there for a day or two to explore the valley and get back up after.

Officials discourage hiking down and going back up in a single day due to the steep trails, rocks, and danger of heat exhaustion. However, to explore the valleys and camp below the rims, you need a permit from the BCO

  1. Alaska Kenai and Denali Adventure

Denali, the highest mountain peak in North America, was once known as Mount McKinley. Situated in Kenai city, Denali offers excellent climbing and hiking opportunities for adventurers. The Kenai-Denali adventure tour starts and ends in Anchorage, an adventure center that lets the adventurers enjoy hiking, rafting, and cruising through the glacial landscapes.

When visiting the Denali national park, keep an eye out for the wildlife—especially the bears. However, visiting the Denali National Park in the winter is not a wise idea as the minimum temperature reaches a low of -75.5F in December. Moreover, even if you’re visiting Denali in July, be prepared to face the extreme cold Alaska Weather.

The whole Kenai Denali adventure tour requires you to secure at least 7-days of time to experience it to the fullest. Starting from Anchorage, visit Seward, and Talkeetna, and return to Anchorage.

  1. Channel Islands National Park

Collection of 5 ecologically rich islands, Channel Islands National Park is a historical clifftop inspiration point for adventurers. The 5 islands are:

  • Santa Cruz Island
  • Santa Rosa Island
  • San Miguel Island
  • Santa Barbara Island
  • Anacapa

While Santa Cruz Island is home to hundreds of natural sea caves including the Painted Cave, San Miguel draws birds like seagulls to Point Bennett. In contrast, Santa Rosa Island is famous for the Torrey Pines and Anacapa—kayaking.

The Channel Islands CA attracts thousands of adventure-loving tourists every year to its rich lands where urbanization is yet to take its toll. However, for your adventure, it’s advisable to bring water and food if you’re looking forward to camping on the islands. Although you need to pay a fee for camping, the park is open 24 hours a day and is connected by boat and plane.

  1. The Canadian Rockies

Part of the North American Rocky Mountains, Canadian Rockies is the easternmost part of the Canadian Cordillera. Developed over the interconnected mountain ranges, Mount Robson is the Peak of the Canadian Rockies with an elevation of 12,972 ft. Moreover, with 4 national parks adjacent to the mountains and another one lying further south, the Canadian Rockies present great hiking opportunities to travelers who seek adventure.

Starting from Vancouver, Canadian Rocky tours usually revolve around Victoria, Tofino, Whistler, Wells Gray Park, Jasper National Park, and Yoho National Park, and end in Lake Louise or Banff. Typically, you want to visit the Canadian Rockies in the Late summer or early winter if you prefer ice sports, but late winter may not be suitable for hiking or travel.

  1. Yosemite National Park

One of the most majestic American natural beauties, Yosemite Park, welcomes millions of visitors each year. Situated in California, the park is known for massive waterfalls, wildlife, cliffs, and El Capitan. Whether you’re visiting the park with family or seeking adventure, it has something to offer.

Summers are, unsurprisingly, more popular among hikers and tourists who want a clear sky and breathtaking views with sports like biking and rafting fueling their adventures. However, you’re also welcome to visit nature outdoors in the winter to enjoy skiing, skating, and snow tubing.

  1. Zion National Park

Utah’s first national park, Zion, is popular for its canyon, small hiking trails, and unparalleled scenic beauty. You can reach Zion National Park by taking a bus from the Zion Canyon visitor center, Temple of Sinawava, or Springdale.

The whole drive, cutting through the national park, is breathtakingly beautiful and calming. Adventure lovers often hike some parts of the road to experience Zion National Park.

Moreover, numerous short hikes and walks are available for you to explore the national park and its wilderness. In addition to birds, deer, and foxes, American black bears and coyotes are witnessed regularly.

  1. Death Valley National Park

Extreme heat and droughts are the main characteristics of Death Valley National Park. This basin, situated below sea level, is the land of extremes. While record-breaking summer heat scorches the lands, mountain peaks keep covered in snow. Furthermore, wildflowers bloom in this barren land quite frequently—thanks to occasional rainfalls.

While visiting the national park, drink at least a gallon of water per day. If you’re taking a car, bring extra with you. Keep rehydrating yourself at regular intervals and use wet towels to keep yourself cool. Keep your car on the paved road to avoid any destruction of desert landscapes, wildlife, and wildflowers.

If possible, avoid the canyons in the monsoon as flash floods are common occurrences. You may also face dangerous animals like rattlesnakes, scorpions, and black widow spiders while hiking. Furthermore, avoid hiking in low elevations due to the risk of heat stroke.

The Bottom Line

Hopefully, you’ll be able to plan your next adventure without any hassle by referring to this article. If you prefer canyons and river rafting, Grand Canyon and Yosemite National Park are for you. Despite them being naturally magnificent, Denali and the Channel Islands overtook them in terms of wildlife, flora, and fauna.
