Surf the net for a good burger in Milan and this is what you'll find. The burger place is called 202 and it's located next to a restaurant called Carolina, which is owned by the same people. You can even order your burger here and have it delivered next door.
The waitress is amazing! Smiley, professional and friendly. The first impression is awesome from the second you grab the door handle made of serving spoons. Inside is a small shop, a wooden floor, a large mirror and two bars made of white tiles.
A funky music, a nice place, a choice of many burgers including the signature 202/212 and the famous Kickass that contains meat, chicken filet, bacon, onion rings, cheddar, salad, tomato, mayonnaise, BBQ sauce and ketchup.
The burger:
- The 202/212 Burger: The burger looks great served in a basket with semi lunar fries. The bun is emptied and toasted, but not buttered so has a chewy texture; the lower bun is thick and unpleasant. The vegetables are too prominent and cold inside this hot burger. The meat is of a good quality, thick, but over cooked and is dry as a result. The bacon is a bit over salty for the mix and the BBQ sauce lacks the hint of sweetness you expect. A good burger? Yes. Exceptional and unique? No.
- The fries are very well done. Lightly crispy with a tender heart.
