Pastries From Around the World: The Eclair Revolution!
Sweet Tooth

And the world's eclair craze continues. After Fauchon and Un Eclair de Genie in France, Choux D'enfer in London, Éclair in Seoul and the French Revolution in Bucharest, the world is witnessing an Eclair revolution indeed where those delicious fingers have dedicated shops and people love this.

Making it special is what customers expect: Eclairs like you've never seen before, choux with a crunchy sugar envelope and the heart of melting aromatic flavorful cream. It's the place where every eclair is branded with the logo, with flavors that will activate all your senses, eclairs where textures are focused on and taste is taken a step further.

Below is a list of Eclairs shops I've visited around the world.

Eclair by Garu Haru: Seoul's Finest

Éclair is your address for the best eclair in Seoul. French finesse comes to the Korean capital offering a selection of many eclairs with an Asian touch. They look the same as the ones in Europe and even taste as good as their siblings.

French Revolution: The Mouthwatering Eclairs of Bucharest

Today, in Bucharest, I found a pastry shop selling the same, displayed under a glass counter, beautifully decorated and ready to be devoured. The éclairs made at the French Revolution in Bucharest contain natural Bourbon vanilla and mille-feuille style fondant icing, fine coffee cream, caramel cream, pure pistachio cream, lime cream or even coconut cream.

Maitre Choux: Their Eclairs are Wondrous Masterpieces

Maitre Choux enjoyed a beautiful façade. Enter and find a selection of colorful Eclairs lying majestically behind the window, decorated with dedication and style like they were gold jewels. Eclairs like you've never seen before, choux with a crunchy sugar envelope and the heart of melting aromatic flavorful cream. It's the place where every eclair is branded with the logo, with flavors that will activate all your senses, eclairs where textures are focused on and taste is taken a step further.

Fauchon: A Golden Luxury Eclair at Mall of the Emirates

As an ambassador of French culinary culture, since 1972 – the date when its first store opened in Japan – Fauchon has been exporting its «Made in F» -Made in FAUCHON, Made in France- know-how throughout the world. From Morocco to Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar, and onto Japan, its signature pastry, the éclair has achieved international renown. Golden Luxury Eclair is the city on a plate. Gold covered éclair with bits of sticky salted caramel and mocha cream. A yummy piece of cake. You can taste the luxury in an eclair that oozes finesse and style. Delicious!

L'Atelier de L'Eclair: Sweet and Savory Delicacies

This simple yet luxurious pastry shop in the heart of the 2nd district is surely a place I am happy not to have missed. I left the best for last... I never imagined that I could taste something so divine in this world of ours. Perfect dough, croustillant layer, super dark chocolate, tasty filling, intense cocoa flavors... all enjoyed in every bite. I devoured this one in seconds. I couldn't resist.

L’Eclair de Génie: "Tutee le Colore Del Mondo"

Fourth time here and still visiting every time I come to Paris. Not only beautiful to look at but tasty as well, the genius éclairs are to die for. I have really never had anything this good before -  majestic, fresh and creative are a few words to describe each bite and each flavor.

La Patisserie des Reves London is Fabulous!

It's the dream pastry which started in Paris, more like a jewelry store than a simple pastry, a place where cakes are handled with care and displayed like pieces of art and covered with glass cloches... It's where cakes are taken seriously.
