Sometimes you get that urge to grab a fast food burger and gulp it in one go. No matter what people say and how much we know that this type of 'junk' food is bad for us, we still crave it from time to time...

I stopped by McDonald's at Le Mall for a quick bite... as I didn't have much time to sit in a restaurant, order and eat. I wanted something fast. But I ended waiting longer than I would have at a restaurant... It was frustrating. A lot of people waiting for their orders, complaining, pushing... you can imagine.

McDonald's in malls often has this problem. I have encountered the same issue at City Mall's branch in Dora.

  • They need to organize their counters properly
  • They need to have all their counters open on a busy day and not just one
  • They need to organize how people place their orders and get their food - we tend to forget that we do live in a society where a queue is respected and waiting for your turn is OK.

While waiting for my order I had enough time to see how the staff is working. Chaotic. Bumping into each other, not delegating work properly, they look frustrated and tired... It's obvious as they need to find a system that will work for them...  That's my advice.

I was a bit disappointed when I saw food on the floor. Pieces of fries everywhere that were not picked up the whole time I was there, instead the mess became more. (Check out the pictures)

All in all, no matter what, McDonald's is McDonald's - the food is good and we need it in our systems every once in a while. The Lebanese franchise is way worse than the European experience.
