Located in the heart of Larnaca's Airport International terminal, Central Bar has been known for its sushi and wide selection of draft beers. Guinness, Carlsberg, Keo, Estrella, Magners, Leon and Peroni among others.
In the heart of the action surrounded by hundreds of travelers I sat at the bar to enjoy some Maki rolls. Choose from the menu; Platters, sashimi, sushi, Maki, temaki and salads. With that I had a beer, one of my favorites, the dark Guinness which offers a rich taste of coffee with a soft end note of enjoyable bitterness. It's so creamy making it different from any other beer you've previously had.
Service is slow, three employees are overwhelmed not being able to satisfy all orders. Take a deep breath, it's worth the wait at least the place serves decent food that's not junk or fried like the neighbors.
Dragon Maki, crunchy salmon Maki, golden Maki and volcano Maki. Four orders each of eight pieces, carefully rolled a la minute by a smiley chef.
Rice is not sticky, ingredients used are good but mayonnaise is way too much. A bit more cooking for the rice, a bit more flavors here and there but to tell you the truth it's more than enough for airport food.
I loved my Guinness though...
