Bondi Harvest is a small place located off a highway. The reason I mention that it's not even on the highway is because you can’t imagine how many were waiting to enjoy their breakfast. When we arrived at 10, we had to even wait for 20 minutes. I can understand why people like it way before I tried the food. The place is soothing and the positive vibes are everywhere.
I enjoyed the crowd, natural light, the roof, the chalk menu board, beach posters, rugged wooden table, the bench and its colorful pillows, and overall simplicity in decor.
Fans refresh the air alongside the air conditioning unit.
Here’s a small shop with just one table, a counter, a fridge and a latte coffee machine. Take the stairs and to reach the counter where orders are made. I'm having breakfast here this morning.
On the menu you’ll find coffees and smoothies as well as a selection of breakfast items, like fried eggs, tartines, salads and sandwiches…
Eggs on toast, breakfast burrito, sweet halloumi and the fish sandwich are some of the items that grabbed my attention.
I started with the "Health-Ade Kombucha", a bubbly probiotic pink lady apple tea. An interesting bottle that looks like a medicine bottle and tastes like one as well.
The chocolate chips scone is excellent. This is one of the few times I enjoy a scone, It’s tender and warm with a crunchy envelope and a light sweet note.
Let's eat;
- The Sweet Halloumi Tartine is awesome! Thick fluffy brown bread topped with pistachio dukkah and thick grilled halloum on a bed of avocado, flavored with honey and sweetened with raw wild flower honey. Majestically delicious: the quality of the bread, the saltiness of the halloumi, the crunchy pistachio and the sweet honey and the overall tenderness. Oh my goodness, I surely didn't expect to be amazed.
- Bondi Breakfast is next: Two poached eggs cooked to perfection leaving their heart flowing, crunchy crispy bacon, roasted tomatoes, kale, mini mushrooms and sliced avocado served with multigrain buttered toast. The bread is so good, moist and so crunchy, the bacon is exceptional, the green salad is balanced. It’s an amazing dish.
- Sweet Summer Squash Pancakes: To start with the plate looks so good, colorful and ready to be pictured for Instagram. The thick green pancakes topped with sweet avocado, brittle and berries. Unusual pancakes that are not fluffy, a bit condensed and it’s green in color. A mountain of red fruits and crunchy nuts, strawberries and honey tops it. An unusual breakfast I'll recommend to all my friends.
Amazing, awesome, exceptional... I'm amazed and I’ll come back soon. Everything is just great! If I'm opening my place one day, it's going to be like this one.
